Support for your type 2 diabetes patients

Invokana®(canagliflozin) is indicated for the treatment of adults with insufficiently controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise:

  • As monotherapy when metformin is considered inappropriate due to intolerance or contraindications
  • In addition to other medicinal products for the treatment of diabetes

For study results with respect to combination of therapies, effects on glycaemic control, cardiovascular and renal events, and the populations studied, please refer to section 4.4, 4.5 and 5.1 of the Invokana SmPC.

Menarini have produced a patient information leaflet to support patients who are prescribed Invokana for the treatment of insufficiently controlled type 2 diabetes. This leaflet is available in both print and digital formats and contains information on:

  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Invokana's dosage, contraindications and side effects
  • Self care tips
  • Sick day rules
  • Signposts to other resources such as patient organisations
  • A section at the back for recording weight, blood glucose, HbA1c, uACR and eGFR

Patient Support Videos

Menarini have produced a series of patient support videos which you can provide to your patients. They are intended to convey top tips for people living with T2D. The items are non-promotional and can help you achieve your patient education goals, as part of NICE Quality Standards (QS209, Statement 2).
