Dr Kavita Sethi

Dr Kavita Sethi has been a Consultant Microbiologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals and Honorary Clinical lecturer at University of Leeds since 2004. She is now the Lead clinician in Microbiology since Jan 2020. Her specialist areas of interest include antimicrobial stewardship, catheter related bloodstream infections and paediatric sepsis. The landscape of hospital infections is changing and challenging and Kavita has used her scientific knowledge and experience to deal with difficult to treat infections in vulnerable patient groups.

Ignacio Martin-Loeches, MD, PhD, FJFICMI

Ignacio Martin-Loeches, MD, PhD, FJFICMI is a full-time Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at St James’s Hospital and Professor at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. He was the Chair of CoBaTrICE (International Competency Based Training programme in Intensive Care Medicine for Europe and other world regions) under the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and past-elected council member of the World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine. He is part of the Steering committee and executive member of the research-working group of the Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC). He is the current elected Chair of the Acute Critical Care Group at the European Respiratory Society (ERS).
